Our Team

Joe Pickard is the Principal, and Chief Investment Officer at Oristano Capital Management, and has over forty years of experience in the investment industry. He has served in many different capacities during that period: Prior to establishing Oristano in 2006, Joe worked at Oppenheimer & Co. as Executive Director - Investments, where he developed the global strategy that continues to be implemented at Oristano Capital. Before that, he worked in the Corporate Services Group at H&Q Securities, and prior to that he worked in the same capacity at Alex Brown & Sons. Joe first entered the brokerage business with EF Hutton & Co. where he became an integral part of the Personal Financial Management Department. After graduating Wesleyan University in Middletown CT, Joe spent three years at Bankers Trust Corp. as an assistant portfolio manager.

David Armstrong is Director of Administration for Oristano Capital. He comes to Oristano with seventeen years of general business experience, twelve of which were in the private client area. Dave was known for his conservative approach in creating and maintaining risk adverse portfolios for his clients as Director-Investments for Oppenheimer & Co. Dave is a graduate of Merrimack College in North Andover MA.

Amy Rogala is the Operations manager for Oristano Capital. Prior to Oristano, Amy worked as an associate at Oppenheimer & Co., where she worked in many different capacities and developed the necessary skill sets to run the operations for our small advisory firm. Prior to Oppenheimer, Amy was employed by Quick & Reillly as a sales assistant. She graduated from Providence College in 2003 and earned a BA in finance.
